Spar has opted Fabasoft Folio as new document management system   Facebook

27.03.2012

Retail chain Spar has opted Fabasoft Folio as new document management system (DMS). The software is specially tailored to Spar's requirements and the medium-term goal is a rollout across the entire Spar Austria Group (SPAR, SES Spar European Shopping Centers, Hervis). Thus turning the goal of a company-wide DMS solution at the cutting edge of technology into reality.

More than 20 mn documents have been transferred from the previous solution to the new Fabasoft Folio system since the start of the DMS project. The easy, intuitive operation, an extensive e-learning program plus the availability of key users at each location have made the change significantly easier for the employees. With the new DMS solution the company has completed the digitalization of the complete document lifecycle and of its content-centric business processes. The personnel department, for example, now benefits from the digital personnel file realized by Fabasoft Folio that can be called out directly from SAP.

Andreas Kranabitl, ICS Managing Director: "For Spar the paperless handling of business processes brings an enormous increase in efficiency and simultaneously opens up important savings potential. Without this capacity the vast amounts of information accruing on a daily basis across the company would no longer be manageable. Fabasoft has won our confidence as a competent and reliable project partner with a fully developed DMS product at the cutting edge of technology."

Helmut Fallmann
, Member of the Fabasoft AG Board of Directors: "We are delighted that another top company of the caliber of SPAR has opted for Fabasoft. Our recipe for success in the global market: consistent innovation, uncompromising quality and fast implementation according to Austrian values of sustainability."

After the successful, company-wide DMS implementation SPAR is now focusing on the continued implementation of business applications with Fabasoft Folio's development platform. With the digital personnel file, media database and construction plan archiving the first "Enterprise Apps" are already available. The wish for secure, mobile access to documents via tablets and smartphones is set to be met in the next phase with the Fabasoft Folio App.
