Rosenbauer today announced that it has expanded its service network by opening a new service center for aerial appliances in France. Working from its new base in Chambery, Metz Aerials now offers a wide range of repair and maintenance services for aerial appliances throughout France. In future, this facility will also carry out service work on air crash tenders, forest fire-fighting vehicles and 'véhicules urbains' (municipal vehicles), the company says. Customers in France will now benefit from shorter travel times and greater availability of their vehicles and from knowing that professional service is not far away when needed. The new service company operates under the name of Metz Service18. Inauguration of the new site is scheduled for mid-2013.
Rosenbauer has service operations and partners in over 100 countries, enabling it to offer comprehensive service. This puts Rosenbauer close to its customers; no other fire engineering supplier has a network anything like as dense. Thanks to this extensive territorial coverage, customers will find a high-calibre service center 'right on their doorsteps', so to speak, saving them not only long journeys but also time and money.
"In the medium term, we shall be strengthening our service network in France still further. What is more, France is an important European municipal market that is in the process of opening up. The new service location gives us a 'local' presence, and we also see good opportunities to succeed in France not just with aerials but also with municipal vehicles and fire & safety equipment", notes CEO Dieter Siegel
